Superstar Barbie was my first-ever Barbie in 1976 and as a fellow child of the ’70s I’m right there with you on Memory Lane! I had a childhood similar to yours with the constant moving and general instability, but I still loved that crazy decade and have a lot of nostalgia for it. 🙂
I was going to say that you remember 1979 way better than I do, but actually I remember a lot, but it’s all personal. We moved from Hartford to the burbs, and my youngest sister was born. Also, kindergarten at public school in the burbs was much funner than kindergarten at Catholic school in the city.
