Note: my parents had not been together for 38 years.
So sorry for your loss. I’ve lost a parent and it is awful. Hang in there, and as time passes the waves of grief will not be so big or come as often.
Drawing and journaling this is so important. I wrote when my Dad passed away and didn’t back anything up and it got lost to a computer crash, but he was kind of a computer guy so I tell myself he was just taking it all for himself. Sigh…
So very sorry Summer. I never met your mom but I know your Dad and I love him and you (although we have never met…) We are family, yet we don’t even know what each other really looks like. I lost my dad a few years ago, your great uncle and it was terrible. I miss him every day and some days I feel like he is right there with me. It will get better. God bless… xoxo Kitt.
But you left out the most important bit!
You forgot the GRIN….
You need to grin and bear it.
Keep doing it and pretty soon you’ll be smiling because you want to!
