Hi, my name is Summer, and yes my parents were hippies.
I am the author of The Artist in the Office: How to Thrive and Survive Seven Days a Week [Perigee Trade] and Great Gals: Inspired Ideas for Living a Kick Ass Life [Perigee Trade]. My writing and art have appeared in many places including Slice Magazine, Skirt! Magazine, Not Quite What I Was Planning, and a zine I create called Forgive Me. I also occasionally blog over at The Huffington Post Stylelist Section on The Visual Life. My Illustrations have graced the stationary of foundations, published books, calendars, as well as my gorgeous prints and totes that have found homes from South Dakota to Australia.
I grew up in the Bay Area, California and I now live in Brooklyn, New York with my very tall husband, rapidly expanding son, and a 14 pound cat.
